Here’s the Quick -n- Dirrty…
- Injuries on offensive line worrisome for Bears – key starters Kramer, Patrick, and Whitehair were out against Bills. Makeshift O-line struggled to protect Fields.
- Run defense gashed up middle with rookies Brisker and Jackson sidelined. Jones and Billings had tackling issues vs Bills backs.
- Fields showed leadership despite limited action. Coached up Badgley after interception and celebrated his rushing TD.
- Rookie CB Stephenson struggled again, committing penalty and allowing INT. But linebackers Sewell and Baskerville impressed.
- More injuries a concern heading into final cuts, especially O-line. Bears need starters together to build chemistry before facing Packers in Week 1.

Hey there, fellow Bears Fans!
Brent C. here, time to break down the action from this weekend’s preseason clash between the Chicago Bears and the Buffalo Bills.
As a diehard Bears fan, I was eager to see how my team would perform in their final preseason matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Unfortunately, it was more of the same struggles we’ve seen all preseason from the Bears’ backups.
The first-team offense looked rusty and out of sync. Justin Fields and the starters managed just 16 yards rushing behind a makeshift offensive line missing several key players to injury. Fields took a big hit that ended his day early. Without starters Brisker and Jackson, the Bills exploited the Bears’ defense up the middle repeatedly. Rookie cornerback Stephenson had another rough game, committing a penalty and surrendering an interception.
The Bears’ run defense was soft, with Jones and Billings struggling to wrap up Bills’ backs. The bright spots were rookies Pickens and Dexter generating pressure up front. Linebackers Sewell and Baskerville flashed potential. Tyler Scott likely secured a roster spot with an electric punt return touchdown.
Bad news continued in the second half as the patchwork O-line couldn’t open running lanes. Third-string quarterback Badgley threw a pick but rebounded with a rushing score. Backup linemen Leatherwood and Collins had shaky outings. The team’s tight ends were curiously absent from the passing game all night.
Injuries continue to loom large for the Bears heading into final cuts. The starters need reps together to build chemistry, but key players keep going down. As a fan, I’m concerned about the O-line protecting Fields and run defense being gashed with the Packers up first. But I’m trying to stay positive and trust Coach Eberflus to have the guys ready for Week 1. Bear down!
