Breakout QB Prospect Bo Nix: A Diamond in the Rough for the Chicago Bears?🤔

Breakout QB Prospect Bo Nix: A Diamond in the Rough for the Chicago Bears?🤔

Here’s the Quick -n- Dirrty..

  • Bo Nix is a QB prospect for the 2023 NFL draft who had a breakout final season at Oregon after transferring from Auburn, putting up huge stats. Could be an option for the Bears.
  • Nix earned the nickname “Throwpics” at Auburn because of his propensity to throw interceptions. But he improved significantly after transferring to a better offensive system for his skills at Oregon.
  • Nix had inconsistent production his first few seasons at Auburn, but broke out in 2022 at Oregon with over 4,500 passing yards, 77% completion percentage, and 45 TDs.
  • Jim Harbaugh won a national title with Michigan but was hired as head coach of the LA Chargers instead of the Bears, who stuck with Matt Eberflus. Some question if that was the right move.
  • The Bears brought in a good innovative offensive coordinator in Shane Waldron, so there’s optimism about the offense improving in 2024 after upgrades at personnel as well.

Hey there, fellow Bears Fans!

Now…

Bears fans, your guy Brent C. is back to give you the insider scoop as always. There’s an intriguing quarterback prospect named Bo Nix that could be on the Bears’ radar in the draft after he lit it up at Oregon last season with 45 touchdowns. Now I know the kid had some turnover issues earning the nickname “Throw-pics” at Auburn, but he clearly found the right offense with the Ducks to take his game to another level.

I still believe in Justin Fields as our QB1, but if Ryan Poles maneuvers to land a second round pick, Nix could provide nice depth and insurance if he slides. My scouting sources will keep close tabs on his combine performance.

In other news, Jim Harbaugh shockingly lands with the Chargers, not the Bears, even after winning the national title with Michigan. I still maintain Coach Harbaugh would’ve upgraded the head man role over Matt Eberflus, though Flus’ defense was stout late last season. Time will tell if that was the right call by Poles.

At least we know Poles made an excellent hire in offensive coordinator Shane Waldron from the Rams. That offensive mastermind will get the most out of Fields, the new personnel coming in, and have this unit rolling by 2024.

So don’t let the national media sleep on the Monsters of the Midway – it’s playoffs or bust next season once Waldron’s cutting-edge offense takes flight! My Chi-town sources will keep you posted on all the offseason moves. Stay tuned Bears fans!

Bear Down Bears fans! and as always… PEACE!
