Chicago Bears vs Los Angeles Chargers: Week 8 Game Preview and Injury Report 🤨

Chicago Bears vs Los Angeles Chargers: Week 8 Game Preview and Injury Report 🤨

Here’s the Quick -n- Dirrty…

  • The Bears defense has been improving lately and will be tested by the Chargers’ passing offense. Eddie Jackson is still injured.
  • Backup QB Justin Fields played well last week and should rely on the running game again. The O-line’s health is crucial.
  • Khalil Mack faces his old team and the Bears need to watch out for him. Offense should use Cole Kmet’s size to advantage.
  • The prediction is a close Bears win 24-21 on a last second field goal.
  • Injured rookie RB Roshon Johnson is cleared from concussion protocol and could provide a boost. Also gives college players to watch on Saturday.

Hey there, fellow Bears Fans!

I’m your host, Brent C., keeping it real with another Bears Media preview. This week our Chicago Bears travel to Los Angeles after a big home win against the Raiders. We face the Chargers on Sunday night football.

The Chargers have a great passing offense led by Justin Herbert. However, their defense is average and ranks in the middle of the pack. Our defense has improved against the pass lately, with some great plays the past couple weeks. But we’ll be without safety Eddie Jackson, who is still recovering from a foot injury. Get well soon Eddie!

Backup QB Justin Fields played well in his first start last week. He should rely on our strong run game again behind a solid O-line. Left tackle Braxton Jones has cleared concussion protocol and should be back, which we need against the Chargers pass rush. Watch out for former Bear Khalil Mack – he can take over a game with sacks if we don’t slow him down.

On offense, we must use tight end Cole Kmet’s size over the middle against the Chargers’ suspect pass defense. Wide receivers Darnell Mooney, Byron Pringle and Equanimeous St. Brown need to stretch the field on deep routes too. I predict a close Bears victory, 24-21 on a last second Cairo Santos field goal!

Rookie running back Trestan Ebner has cleared concussion protocol and could provide a boost alongside Khalil Herbert and David Montgomery. At 6’2″ 230 pounds, Ebner has the size to wear down the Chargers defense late.

Some players to watch in college on Saturday – Florida State DE Jared Verse and DT Joshua Farmer could be future Bears. Ohio State OG Donovan Jackson would provide o-line depth. And keep an eye on Georgia C Sedrick Van Pryor, a future Bears starter in my opinion.
